RAK from Laurel Stimler

Over on the ATT group an online friend is relocating to Georgia. Being in Georgia myself I am looking forward to having a fellow Tim Junkie to make art and hit the shops with. Anyway she asked me recently if I liked Asian inspired art also.

Being of Asian decent, of course I have always been attracted to all things Asian. Hey that would be ATA instead of ATT... LOL

So, back to the point Laurel sent me the most unexpected RAK ( Random Act of Kindness) today in the form of an Asian inspired tag that she actually used for week 4 in the Compendium-of-Curiosities-Challenge.

Needless to say I was floored not only by the unexpectedness of it, but by the sheer Beauty of it. I will Cherish it forever.

Thanks so Much!

  2. Glad that it arrived safely and that you liked it! I love that technique for creating backgrounds and the geisha image and postage marks were done using Japanese Lacquer EP...one of my favorites!...over black pigment ink.
I feel honored to have it on your blog.

  4. Hello Stephen,

I hadn't noticed it before, but now you mentioned you are from Asian decent , I took a closer look at your photo :)

The tag is really , really nice : great composition, but I think it's even more beautiful in real when you see the shiny lettering.

    greetings from Belgium
