Easter Two Fer

Hi Everyone,
Hope your having a wonderful day and a Happy Easter. This week has been really busy for me and not much time to make art. In my usual fashion to catch up I have created a card that works for 2 different Challenges.

First off over at Simon Says Stamp and Show a Lord of Tim of Holtz Technique! Using the Techniques of Tim Holtz.
Second at Studio L3 Challenge Texture Fades and Distress.

If I didnt know better I would think they planned this one to go hand in hand.

I used the challenges to create the card below. I love the texture and the steampunk feel of it. Gears and time just seem to go together dont you think?

The background papers used in this piece are from the new Tattered Time pad from DCWV. Im just loving this paper. Rosette paper is of course from Tim's Lost and Found stack.

A Distressing Grungy Monday Challenge 3

Yes, as you have probably guessed I have once again combined the Challenges from Linda at Studio L3
&

Linda's challenge being Ranger Adirondack Color Wash
& Simon's being Show some Distressing.
I used the color wash and Tim's Distress inks to make the background that I then ran through one of Tim's new Texture fade to create a timely card for a buddy's birthday next week. I also used Tim's new Umbrella man die to form a masculine silhouette. I hope he likes it.

Grungy Monday on a Sunday and its Not a Card

LOVE, WISH, DREAM
Thats the stamp I used on the cover of the journal Im planning. Its also my latest entry to not one but two challenges this week.

First off for the Grungy Monday Challenge over on Linda's blog

The challenge was Distress Ink with Studio Multi Medium a technique we learned from
Tim Holtz. After making a stamp from Tims new Sewing room die I was ready to go.
The Distress inks I used were Victorian Velvet, Chipped Sapphire, Wild Honey and Dusty Concord.

I also over sprayed the whole piece with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Black Magic.
I used paint dabbers on the heart, crown and wings then covered them with Rock Candy Distress paint.

For the word stamp effect I used my Cathie Allen Position it tool to re- stamped over and over in paint and ink to get the stand out layered look.
And Hey, Its not a card so Im entering it into the
