Altered Tags Finished & on their way!

Well I finally finished my altered tags for the swap using Tim's new French Market place stamps. I'm really happy how they turned out.

I used 3 different alcohol inks to color plain manila tags then I embossed the main stamp on the tag with Tim's Distress Powder then over stamped the writing.

Mona's image in on Grungboard that is colored with Distress ink. I call this series Mona's Moon for obvious reasons.
The hangers on top are clip on cafe curtain rings

There is a surprise on the back that I will let each recipient find for themselves. They will be going out in tomorrows mail. I cant wait to see the great art I receive in return.

Altered Personal Training Guides

OK everybody my life long bud, Chuck got me to join a gym LA Fitness to be exact. So far so good its the start of the 6th week and I feel great. Well most of the time :) Anyway they also offer personal training services where you have a one on one with a trainer.

When you sign up for this service they give you a training guide to use to record you progress in. Actually a great idea for how else you gonna tell how well your doing right?

Well of course these things are about as boring looking as can be so I just had to as an online friend put it "bling" them out a bit. Not really too much bling but I have to admit that my altering made them look so much better. What do you think?

Altered Tins Finally Finished !!!

My Altered Tins are finished after working off and on for the last few days on them. These are the first ones I have ever created. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them but after just "jumping in" so to speak they really became a lot of fun to work on. I hope the recipients like them as much as I did making them. There are 3 of them total and the pictures below show the fronts, tops and the inside of the lids. I lined them all also.

Now on to finish the tags and the postcards...

Inky Finger Wednesday

Spent this evening working on Altered tins for a online swap. Had one of those periods of time where the creativity was flowing. Its nice to have after having a temporary creativity block.

Kinda like a mind cramp where you just cant figure out how you want something to look. then you have a break through and don't want to stop.

Will post pictures soon and then its on to Tags and to finish my postcards.

Vintage Pages

These are photos of the vintage pages I created recently for the ATT swap. 2o pages in all, one for each participant in the swap. The woman is a photo I found on the Internet that I printed on photo paper and cut out to look like the old photo lab edged prints. I used Tim's Distress paint on the backgrounds and then inked over with Distress Ink. I also inked the edges of the pages. I stamped the corner with one of Slight Alterations stamp then stamped the French postmark with red Stazon . The Memories is stamped and embossed with Distress powder. The clocks are stamped grunge board circles covered with Glossy accents on a metal edged tag with a brad on top. Inked of course.
We should have all our pages back by the 3 week of this month. I cant wait to see all the great art that I will receive.

New Addiction

Hey Everyone,

I see this can be crazy addictive to just write about what your doing, whats going on in your life etc.... Several members of my art groups have been the inspiration for sure. Here is a picture of the ATC's I traded recently.

It was a six for six trade. I got som amazing ones back. To find out more about ATC's click here : http://www.artist-trading-cards.ch/
This is an image of me that I Photoshopped and use on Facebook. I have also used this image on the back of ATC' or Artist Trading Cards that I swap. I belong to a Yahoo group called All Things Tim and another called Stampers Anonymous that host stamping and collage art swaps. In the past I have swapped tags, cards, ATC's and most recently swapped 6 x6 vintage art pages. I am currently working on some postcards and altered tins.

Finally started a Blog

Call me a late bloomer but I finally started a blog. At first I didnt understand what all the excitement was about in having an online space to post your random thoughts and ideas was but I guess I finally do, I think.

I have joined Facebook and I am beginning to get lots of friends and family on there which is great but sometimes its so random that you feel lost in all the games and contest.

I guess this will be a place that I can post what Im feeling and when Im feeling it.
