Halloween in July or The Compendium-of-Curiosities-Challenge Week 5
Well what do you know its week 5 in the Compendium-of-Curiosities-Challenge. Linda is doing such a great job of keeping us all on our toes and letting us learn some new techniques and refresh ourselves on some older one.
This week is Distress Powder which I happen to love and have actually emptied a bottle of it before using it on tags, pages, cards, everywhere.
So you know I was happy to jump right in on this challenge and it also gave me an excuse to play with my new stamps I won from Tim's Blog. You have all heard of Christmas in July, well this week it was Halloween in July.
Let me know what you think.

Great tag, Stephen!! Love the colors & Tim's new stamps!
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece, Stephen! I was thinking about using this set too, but just couldn't get into a Halloween mood when it's been 90+ outside, LOL!
ReplyDeleteGlad you did, though. Gives me ideas for the future.
Eileen
I love it, Stephen! This totally puts me in the mood for Trick or Treat candy. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did a magnificent job with the Distress Powder-- those cobwebs are brilliant, spooky and totally cool, and the not-so-wicked witch is colored so beautifully! The foggy-looking background couldn't be more perfect.
I'm so happy that you won those stamps! Congratulations for that, and for rocking the Compendium Challenge again!
Hugs,
Linda
FABULOUS Tag, Stephen!!! LOVE IT! That witch stamp is so FUN!
ReplyDeleteLove love love the look you got with these powders & Tim's new stamp set!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool, Stephen!. And you have the new stamp!!!!!!!!!!!! Green with envy here!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow, this is fab. Annette
ReplyDeleteYour tag has a real magical (or should that be witchy!) feel to it. I love the effect of the distress EP on the cobwebs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool tag - I do envy you winning that awesome stamp set! Do you get trick-or-treaters? If I came to your house, I would be THRILLED to get a little bag of candy with this tag tied onto it! (And yes, I would totally shuffle up to your door on my knees, wearing a tiny costume, pretending I was only 8 years old.) You did a great job and now I'm inspired to try that darn powder!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, this is awesome! I LOVE it!
ReplyDeletegreat colors! don't you just LOVE halloween?!?
ReplyDeleteGreat tag Stephen! how great that you won that set, lucky you :)
ReplyDeleteFun Halloween tag! Great colors you used.
ReplyDeleteLove the Halloween spin on this tag! Cool colors!
ReplyDeleteFirst, I completely love your witch, especially her hat -- unbelievable depth in such a simple design.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I laughed out loud when I saw your spider's web. This week I bought my first ever tubs of powder. Upon spying the tub of orange I thought, "What the hell could I do with that nauseatingly bright stuff?"
Apparently I could make a very cool Halloween tag!
Tim owes you four bucks for selling me the tub of orange I'm going to buy! :)
Very cool, wasn't real sure about that new set. Now that I see it I want it! Your tag is great....love the spider webs and you did an awesome job of coloring the witch!
