Over on the ATT group an online friend is relocating to Georgia. Being in Georgia myself I am looking forward to having a fellow Tim Junkie to make art and hit the shops with. Anyway she asked me recently if I liked Asian inspired art also.
Being of Asian decent, of course I have always been attracted to all things Asian. Hey that would be ATA instead of ATT... LOL
So, back to the point Laurel sent me the most unexpected RAK ( Random Act of Kindness) today in the form of an Asian inspired tag that she actually used for week 4 in the Compendium-of-Curiosities-Challenge.

Needless to say I was floored not only by the unexpectedness of it, but by the sheer Beauty of it. I will Cherish it forever.
Thanks so Much!
What a wonderful mail week it has been for you!!!! Laurel's tag is lovely and lucky you to have the signed 100th set :)
ReplyDeleteGlad that it arrived safely and that you liked it! I love that technique for creating backgrounds and the geisha image and postage marks were done using Japanese Lacquer EP...one of my favorites!...over black pigment ink.
ReplyDeleteI feel honored to have it on your blog.
Wow, this is a great tag, and how special that it came from a friend! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHello Stephen,
ReplyDeleteI hadn't noticed it before, but now you mentioned you are from Asian decent , I took a closer look at your photo :)
The tag is really , really nice : great composition, but I think it's even more beautiful in real when you see the shiny lettering.
