12 Tags of Christmas, Day 12
OK I'm a couple of days late but I got them done. I have loved working along with everyone in making these tags this year. I will miss the daily excitement and anticipation of another challenge.
I have never made the grunge paper roses before. I guess I made mine a little too big or bigger than I thought so I went with one one each tag instead of two.

I used a trinket pin to attach my adage tags.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 11
Its hard to believe that its almost over. I have enjoy every tag, some more than other. All of them have taught me some great techniques that I'm sure that I will use over and over again.
Today's tag was about canvas flowers and covering your own brads. I didn't have the tool Tim used, Big Surprise but made do with what I did have.
Really like the canvas flowers

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 10
Day 10 already.
I cant believe how fast its all going by. It will indeed be Christmas soon.
These are my 2 offerings of Tim's techniques today. I have to agree the tags took on a cool grungy, metal look and feel. They are almost ornaments in their own right. Instead of random words as Tim made his, I went for more of a traditional Holiday verse.
Tag 1, Joy to the World .
Tag 2 Peace on Earth.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 9
When I saw Tim's day 9 tag this morning I knew that I had the perfect photos for my interpretation. The picture I used is ME! Yes its really me from when I was about 3 or 4. I didn't have any of Tim's film strips but I have the stamp so I used Stazon to stamp the frames on some clear plastic sheeting.
The photos in the frame are of my family as well.
Tag 1 with the Santa Clause initials just like Tim's
Tag 2 with the word ME!
In the photo frame, top to bottom my Mother, Father with 2 sisters and me on the bottom again with a stocking.
For obvious reasons this has to be my favorite so far.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 8
Day 8, more amazing techniques from Tim. He keeps surprising us everyday.
I wanted to change my tags up a little bit today since I was such a copy cat yesterday, LOL
Tim used holly, bells, and a key. I used a wreath and salvage stickers instead.
Tag one- Noel
Tag 2 Joy
I lit the flame in my lanterns using distress stickles.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 7
Day 7 of Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas is here and no your not looking at his tag, this is indeed mine.
Being Monday and in a hurry as not to fall behind I am guilty of complete plagiarism. I recently got the Santa stamp he used and I loved the tag so much that I made mine just like his. Loved it so much I made two of them.
There is one exception. The word charms he has been using, well I don't have any of those so I snagged the image off of the Internet of one and printed it out. Inked it up some and put in on a round metal rimmed tag that I did have. I think the look turned out pretty good if I do say so....

Day 8 is tomorrow. Will be two thirds done after that.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 6
WOW, it's day 6 already.... I can't believe that we are halfway through with the set. I really love the techniques used in today's tag but had never heard of Sparkly Fluff. I cant get most of the simple things Tim uses in my area much less Sparkly Fluff... LOL I mean really....
Anyway the techniques he taught with this tag were great. I'm sure that I will use the masking tape pulling off the print technique again. It gave the tags a wonderful vintage look.
Both my tags today are close to being complete copies of Tim's. However in lieu of Sparkly Fluff I embossed my tree with Holographic EP and then painted in the "snow" with paint from a paint dauber.
My take on the charm since I dont have the ones he used.
Didn't have bingo markers that I wanted to use so I punched the 25's from an old calender.
What will day 7 bring???
12 Tags of Christmas, Day 5
OK, Day 5. Fragments.... LOL I had to laugh for I substituted fragments on day 4 because I didn't have memory capsules....
Today I had to improvise on the edging a little and I had gold memory tape instead of silver. Embossing powder instead of distress and I used epoxy stickers instead of a rub on word. I like the look of the sticker for it the matches the fragments so well

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 4
Wow we are up to day 4 already. I had to improvise a lot today for I didn't have any memory capsules, trinket pins, and a few other items. Oh well learning the technique is what its all about right?
I love the way the multicolor collage stamping looks. Since I didn't have all the components Tim used I couldn't make a pin. But since I loved the dangle look of the tag I created a word component by using adage tags, glossy accents and a fragment charm.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 2
1My interpretation of Tim's Tags, Day 2
I tried to make this one just like his however once again I didn't have a couple of the items he used. First off, no Distress Powder in Antique Gold. So I used what I had shiny gold embossing powder. I also didn't have any of the metal corners he used so I used some gold foil photo corners. I think the look turned out great!
Close up of the metal rose I re-created.
On this one I changed the sentiment to Merry Christmas.
Also I didn't have enough of the same metal blossoms so I had to improvise this rose. Kinda took on an open rose look.
Cant wait till day 3.....
