12 Tags of Christmas, Day 5

OK, Day 5. Fragments.... LOL I had to laugh for I substituted fragments on day 4 because I didn't have memory capsules....
Today I had to improvise on the edging a little and I had gold memory tape instead of silver. Embossing powder instead of distress and I used epoxy stickers instead of a rub on word. I like the look of the sticker for it the matches the fragments so well

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 4

Wow we are up to day 4 already. I had to improvise a lot today for I didn't have any memory capsules, trinket pins, and a few other items. Oh well learning the technique is what its all about right?
I love the way the multicolor collage stamping looks. Since I didn't have all the components Tim used I couldn't make a pin. But since I loved the dangle look of the tag I created a word component by using adage tags, glossy accents and a fragment charm.

12 Tags of Christmas, Day 2

1My interpretation of Tim's Tags, Day 2

I tried to make this one just like his however once again I didn't have a couple of the items he used. First off, no Distress Powder in Antique Gold. So I used what I had shiny gold embossing powder. I also didn't have any of the metal corners he used so I used some gold foil photo corners. I think the look turned out great!

Close up of the metal rose I re-created.

On this one I changed the sentiment to Merry Christmas.

Also I didn't have enough of the same metal blossoms so I had to improvise this rose. Kinda took on an open rose look.

Cant wait till day 3.....

12 Days of Christmas, Tim Holtz Style

Ok today Tim Holtz started his annual 12 Days of Christmas Tags.
Several of us on the All Things Tim Yahoo Group are playing along creating tags inspired by his creations.
These are my 2 interpertaions of his tags.

Christmas Page Swap

You gotta Believe!!!

OK, I did it. I made it before the dead line. I had some doubts for a while that I could do it, but I did. There are 16 in the swap this time.
You were to make a 6 x 6 page for each member using Tim Holtz products and techniques.

I decided instead of using traditional Reds, Greens, and Golds, that I would go completely Black and White with some Silver and Gray.

Full Page Layout

I stamped the images in black. The snowman is embossed with Distress Powder and the snowflakes are embossed with holographic embossing powder.

Another view of the snowman.

I used different pattern papers on the back of each one. And stamped some invisible angels.
Can you see one?

Another angel is hiding here.

I hope the recipients like them. I had fun creating them. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think...

Valentines in November?

Ok, Ok , everyone has heard of Christmas in July, but Valentines in November? No I haven't gone crazy its just the latest swap I'm a member of on the All Things Tim Yahoo group. Several of us are doing altered calendar pages and mine is February. I just finished them up tonight and they will be going out in the mail this week. I loved working on it and know that I will cherish all the wonderful art that will make up the final 2010 calendar. Below are some pictures of the pages I created for everyone. Next up Christmas Page swap.. More fitting for this time of the year.

Enjoy!
Stephen

Since calendars are all about numbers, I used bingo makers as the center of the flowers.

Every page is marked Feb, but everyone of them has different distressed fonts.

I used Tim's new Rock Star stamp to double stamp the images, once in gold paint dauber and then in ink.

Rhinestone hearts mark the special day!

Love, Bliss, and Adore addage tickets add to the romantic feel.

Another close up of the bingo marker centers.

All done and ready to ship....
