Hope everyone is having a great week end. Here in Georgia we have had the most amazing weather for February, high 60's to low 70's which is of course giving us all spring fever. With that in mind I tackled this weeks challenges and once again rolled two into one.
First up Studio L3 Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 33 is Altered Metal Alcohol Inks.
Next Simon Says Stamp and Show the Challenge is Some Strips.
I decided to make an altered tin for these challenges. As you can see my altered metal piece are the butterflies on the top of the piece, sitting on top of striped grungeboard.
I also included stripes inside of the tin along with a sentiment from Henry David Thoreau.
Wow, Stephen, this is gorgeous! Love those butterflies on top of that striped grunge! Perfect! Thanks for joining the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge!
ReplyDeleteReally nice! Thanks for playing along with Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat combo! Love the way you lined the tin with the stripes. It is so nicely finished.
ReplyDeleteawesome tin!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tin and adore your butterfly, the alcohol inking is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS tin, Stephen!! Perfect for both challenges! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful stash of Altoid tins saved by my brother when he was still smoking cigarettes. ;-) I love to alter them...primarily with acrylic paints, stamps, and microbeads. This is a great tin.
ReplyDeleteWell, first, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! Stephen, I hope you're having a magnificent day.
ReplyDeleteYou altered tin is just gorgeous-- the altered metal is incredibly pretty, and the sweet colors really invoke a feeling of summer. I love the Thoreau quote!
Speaking of summer-- please send some of your warm temperatures our way-- it's cold, cold, cold up here.
Go make this your best year yet, my friend!
