ALTERED ANCESTORS
Over on the All Things Tim Yahoo List we are having a Little Fat Book Swap. This is an art swap where each player makes 11 pages and sends them to our list mom Gloria who has so graciously agreed to bind them all for us and send us a bound book back.
These are my pages that I have created for the books.
When making altered art there is usually lots of ethereal images including wings, hats, and other such accessories.
I chose to do something a little different and make my alterations a little more subtle even eerie if you will.
Kind of like that aunt or uncle no one talks about....
Creepy and Kooky .....
Mysterious and Spooky,,,
See anyone you recognize?
Wow - I absolutely LOVE what you've done with Tim's photos! I know those Somerset people will be all over these; I am hoping fervently that I get one of your pages in my book!
ReplyDeleteStephen, these are wonderful!!! Now I wish I could have participated in the swap!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Stephen, very clever to alter them that way!
ReplyDeleteCreepy indeed! I love them all, but especially the top one. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she lands up in my book! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you'd like to get a glimpse of a couple of my pages here on my blog. They're in the "design stage" - haha!
Cheers,
Susan
Oops - didn't proofread... click on the second photo for ancestors.
ReplyDeleteMe=doofus. :)
Now I have the Adams family song stuck in my head :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pages!
these are great!
ReplyDeleteYep, definitely see one of my aunts in there, LOL. I absolutely LOVE the way you altered the photos, and that's why I always try to participate in these collaborative pieces. Everyone has their own take on a theme and that is so great. Mine are way more whimsical. Still in the planning stage, but I think you'll get a smile or two out of them.
ReplyDeleteThose are so NEAT!! Interesting approach!
ReplyDeleteHello Stephen,
ReplyDeletenice to see how you altered the photos. It's a small change but it makes a big difference to the faces !
I like to see how you made different pages with an almost same layout, but they still come out all different.
I hesitated long to participate cause I have so many commitments for the moment and I want to be able to make them in time...but it still aches I didn't seeing these pages !
greetings from belgium
