OK so can it really have been 3 weeks since I have posted to my blog????
Answer : yes
Can you say really busy start to 2011? Believe it or not I have been playing along with the challenges but just not finding the time to upload and blog about it. Lame excuse I know but it is really the truth. I have missed sharing and getting feedback from everyone. I hope everyone is doing well and 2011 is our best year ever!
On to the challenge. Linda over at Studio L3 has done a great job of keeping us on track and we have learned a lot.
This week the challenge is Weathered Wood.
I used this challenge to make a birthday card. I inked mine in walnut stain over peeled paint. I love the organic feel it gave the project. A rock candy covered swirl some metal, ribbon, addage ticket and wa-la!
Oh yeah, here is a close up of the bird image I used. I took the technique that Christie over at Creations by Christie shared so I wouldn't have those pop dots showing. I really like the way it turned out. It really gave it much more dimension.
Great colors and a beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteFabulous!

WOWZA!! FABULOUS Card, Stephen!! LOVE that GREEN!!
ReplyDeleteHello Stephen,
ReplyDeleteI completely understand how weeks fly by ! As long as you feel good about it, that's no problem, but if you feel you are lived, it's time to reset your priorities ! :)
The challenges ... such a great idea, but I don't make it anymore... but I'm still creative in making other things :)
The colors you used give the card a real nature feeling !
Nice image or stamp(?) of the bird.
greetings from belgium

Stephen, I've missed you! It's great to see you posting again, and yes, 2011 really did start off with a bang around here, too!
