Chaos Tags Revealed!!

OK so today was the day... My Chaos tags went postal and here are the final images before they become part of 12 different canvases. I cant wait to see every ones work all together. This has been a really fun swap and I'm sure the finished project will be AMAZING.

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts.

Single tag up close. On a background of old encyclopedia pages, Tim's stamp of David is the main image. Only with a natural colored eye peeking through the brass key hole. I used watercolor pencils topped off with Ranger's Glossy accents.
Make time for Art stamp from Victorine Originals.

Close up of 3 tags, Colors are Wild Honey and Forrest Green from Tim's new Distress colors.

Each tag is topped with a gold tassel to add a little motion to the piece.

  9. Hello Stephen,

I like the idea you had to have David look through the keyhole. The blue eye attracts you to take a closer look.

The stamps also suits perfect on the dictionary page. It's not always easy to find a stamp that doesn't drown in the background of the textpaper and still stands out. This stamps does that. I often drybrush some gesso on top of dictionary pages or music paper to push the text a bit more to the background, but still see the text.
    This stamp doesn't need that.

The use of the colors is great too : you know I love bolder colors and I'm glad I bought these two distress inks too !

  10. These are so cool! I would really love to try it sometime. So you stamped on top of Encyclopedia pages and then colored the image in with colored pencils? And then added glossy accents on top? Would love to try it.
